I’m Bruce Goldman, and I’m the founder of Presidential History Buffs. Our mission is to make presidential history come alive by offering high-quality tours, conventions and other events that provide unique opportunities for history buffs that aren’t available anywhere else. While we take our history seriously, we also think that it should be fun. So I’ll do everything I can to make sure you have a great time along the way.
Learning about the presidents, their lives and their administrations is a great way to learn about American history, offering a window into the men and moments that have shaped our nation. It’s critical that future generations appreciate the value of history, so we’ll be focusing some of our efforts on helping young people connect with presidential history, and why it matters.
Our inaugural tour will be to Springfield, Illinois, where Abraham Lincoln spent most of his adult years before being elected president in 1860. Our guests will enjoy the comforts of a luxury motor coach and fine hotels as they visit historic sites related to our 16th president.

Founder Bio
Bruce Goldman first became interested in the presidents in the second grade, when he read dozens of biographies, including books on our chief executives. Before long, he could recite from memory the name of every president in chronological order as well as his birth and death date and the years he served in the White House. This feat, while hardly useful in the conventional sense of the word, would serve to impress at least one of his dates in the years ahead. In college, Goldman majored in history, then left the subject behind for many years as he built a career in newspaper and magazine publishing as a writer and editor. His love of presidential history never abated, however, and lunch hours (and other times) often found him strolling to a nearby antiques or book store to peruse the shelves for anything related to our 43 White House occupants. Presidential History Buffs is a natural culmination of Goldman’s extensive fascination with the men who have guided America’s fortunes for more than two centuries.
